Shift5 Inc. of Arlington, Virginia, won an Army contract worth up to $99 million for commercial offerings. Army Contracting Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, awarded the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, which has an estimated completion date of Sept. 30, 2031. The Army will determine work locations and funding as it places orders with Shift5.

Shift5 Commercial Offerings Contract Details

The contract gives the Army a vehicle for ordering Shift5 commercial offerings rather than committing the full potential value to a single delivery. Individual orders will establish the funded work.

Performance locations will also be set order by order, allowing the Army to direct work to the locations required for each purchase.

Award and Contractor Background

The Army solicited bids online and received nine. The $99 million contract value is a ceiling; the award notice says funding will be determined with each order.

Shift5 has also received Air Force work on aircraft databus security. A September 2025 award worth up to $9.9 million covers development, integration and accreditation of four initial F-16 databus upgrade prototypes, with completion expected in March 2027. A separate F-22 active cyber protection prototype contract has a potential value of $14.5 million and a potential performance end in February 2027.

This award was disclosed by the DoW in its daily press release. Additional contract details will be available on HigherGov in approximately 90 days under W9128Z26DA020 after the contract is formally disclosed by the government.
