Oshkosh Defense Awarded $19.5 Million Army JLTV Wheel Contract by DLA

The Defense Logistics Agency announced it has awarded Oshkosh Defense a three-year contract for Joint Light Tactical Vehicle pneumatic wheel assemblies with an estimated value of $19.5 million. The firm-fixed-price requirements contract will support the U.S. Army, with an ordering period ending Aug. 13, 2029, and no option periods.
Work to be Completed Under the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle Wheel Assemblies Contract
Under contract SPRDL1-26-D-0053, Oshkosh Defense will supply pneumatic wheel assemblies for the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, commonly known as the JLTV. Such assemblies combine wheels and pneumatic tires into components used to support vehicle mobility and readiness.
The contract is structured as a requirements vehicle, allowing the Defense Logistics Agency to place orders for wheel assemblies as Army needs arise during the three-year ordering period. Its estimated value represents the anticipated total volume of orders rather than a guaranteed purchase amount.
The JLTV is a family of tactical vehicles used to transport personnel and equipment while providing greater protection and off-road mobility than earlier light military vehicles. The wheel assemblies procured through the contract will support the Army’s operation and sustainment of its JLTV fleet.
The award followed a competitive acquisition that received two responses. No option periods are included, and the ordering period is scheduled to conclude on Aug. 13, 2029.
Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support in Warren, Michigan, is the contracting activity.

This award was disclosed by the DoW in its daily press release. Additional contract details will be available on HigherGov once disclosed by the government in approximately 90 days under SPRDL126D0053 after the contract is formally disclosed by the government.
