Mente Systems Wins $99 Million Army Commercial Technology Contract

Mente Systems of McLean, Virginia, has won a U.S. Army contract worth up to $99 million for commercial technology offerings. The firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will allow the Army to place orders as requirements arise. Army Contracting Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, made the award, with completion estimated for Sept. 30, 2031.

Commercial Technology Offerings Contract Details

Mente will provide commercial technology offerings through orders placed under the contract. The award notice describes the work broadly rather than identifying a particular product, system or Army facility.

Each order will establish its work location and funding. The $99 million figure is the contract’s total potential value, not an amount the Army committed at award.

Award and Contractor Background

The Army solicited bids online and received nine. The award notice does not identify an incumbent contract or tie the new vehicle to a named Army program.

Mente’s earlier defense work includes a $209,358 U.S. Special Operations Command research award in 2023 for aviation-sensor data integration and decision support. In 2025, the company received a $2.5 million award for Wolfpack, a project focused on integrating aviation-readiness data across personnel, training, missions, platforms and maintenance. Those records describe Mente’s previous technology work, but do not identify the offerings the Army will order under the new contract.
