Lockheed Martin has received a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract worth up to $31.5 million to supply countermeasure receivers for the U.S. Air Force’s B-2 Spirit bombers. Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support in Oklahoma City awarded the five-year contract, with performance scheduled to be completed April 30, 2031. The award continues DLA procurement of a specialized electronic-warfare component for the B-2 fleet.

B-2 Countermeasure Receiver Details

Lockheed Martin will supply B-2 countermeasure receivers under the current award. The award notice identifies the aircraft and component but does not identify a receiver configuration or quantity.

Earlier DLA purchases illustrate the types of receiver work Lockheed Martin has performed for the aircraft. One B-2 receiver contract covered manufacture of receivers and 33 B-2 band spares, while a separate contract for digital Band 1, 2 and 3 receivers supports Air Force countermeasure operations. The current notice does not identify either earlier configuration as the subject of this award.

B-2 Fleet Background

The receiver purchase comes as the Air Force continues to sustain and upgrade the B-2 fleet. In a 2025 account of B-2 modernization, the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center said its system program office was working to improve readiness, reduce aircraft downtime and maintain the bomber until the B-21 is fielded. That broader effort provides context for continued component procurement, although the receiver award is not identified as part of a particular modernization upgrade.

Award and Contractor Background

DLA made the current award to Lockheed Martin without competition. The company has received several other B-2 receiver contracts from the agency. A September 2023 Defense Department announcement described a sole-source manufacturing award worth up to $33.41 million, with performance then scheduled through April 2027. Another 2023 announcement covered a fixed-quantity receiver contract worth up to $7.53 million, with performance scheduled through February 2026.

Lockheed Martin also holds a separate B-2 digital-band receiver contract with a potential value of $56.4 million and a performance period extending to August 2031. Together, the awards show continued DLA purchases of B-2 countermeasure receivers from the company; the available notices do not establish that any one of the earlier awards was replaced by the new contract.

This award was disclosed by the DoW in its daily press release. Additional contract details will be available on HigherGov in approximately 90 days under SPRTA126C0202 after the contract is formally disclosed by the government.
