L3 Technologies Inc. has received a Navy contract worth up to $74.9 million to procure, assemble, integrate, configure and ship communications equipment and components. Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific awarded the contract for work in Camden, New Jersey, under a follow-on production arrangement tied to a successful prototype. The initial award is valued at $26.9 million. Work was expected to begin in September 2026 and, under the full potential performance period, continue through March 2030.

Communications Equipment Production Details

L3 will bring together communications equipment and components, integrate and configure them, and ship the resulting equipment. The award notice describes a production and delivery effort rather than a research-only project. The Navy’s notice of intent says the work follows a successful prototype developed under an other transaction agreement.

The award draws on both Navy equipment-procurement and shipbuilding-and-conversion funds. The public notice identifies Camden as the work location but does not name the communications system or a receiving ship class.

Award and Contractor Background

The Navy awarded the contract to L3 without competition, using statutory authority for follow-on production after a successful prototype effort. Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific in San Diego is the contracting activity.

L3 also holds a separate Navy communications contract with a potential value of $66.5 million and a performance period extending through May 2027. That work covers system and software integration for high-frequency modernization and the BRSE system, correction of prototype defects, delivery of two completed systems, and communications-network equipment and spares. The available records do not establish that it is the prototype effort underlying the new award.

This award was disclosed by the DoW in its daily press release. Additional contract details will be available on HigherGov in approximately 90 days under N6600126C0021 after the contract is formally disclosed by the government.
