The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division announced it has awarded a $22.5 million contract for logistics, instructor, and integrated product support, as well as a comprehensive technical hardware and software refresh and upgrade for the Royal Saudi Naval Forces Naval Tactical Team Trainers to Kratos. The firm-fixed-price contract will run through July 2030, with work taking place in Orlando, Florida; Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; and Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The award was competed with one offer received and is funded by Foreign Military Sales customer funds.
Work to be Completed Under Royal Saudi Naval Forces Naval Tactical Team Trainers Contract
The contract calls for Kratos to provide extensive logistics, instructor services, and integrated product support for the Royal Saudi Naval Forces’ (RSNF) Naval Tactical Team Trainers. This includes a full-scale technical refresh and upgrade of both hardware and software systems supporting various air, ground, and weapons training platforms.
According to the government award notice, the work will be split between three locations: Orlando, Florida (52%); Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (24%); and Jubail, Saudi Arabia (24%). The project is expected to be completed by July 2030. The funding for this contract comes from Foreign Military Sales customer funds, which are fully obligated at the time of the award.
The RSNF Naval Tactical Team Trainers are critical assets used to prepare personnel for complex operational scenarios involving air, ground, and weapons systems. The planned upgrades are intended to ensure that these trainers remain technologically current and capable of simulating modern warfare environments.
Kratos will be responsible not only for upgrading the trainers but also for providing ongoing instructor support and logistics services throughout the duration of the contract. This comprehensive approach aims to maximize the operational readiness of RSNF personnel by ensuring both the training equipment and instructional staff are maintained at high standards.
This contract continues a trend of U.S.-Saudi defense cooperation under the Foreign Military Sales program. By investing in advanced training capabilities, the RSNF seeks to enhance its tactical proficiency and interoperability with allied forces.
