General Electric Co. has received a $9.2 million, firm-fixed-price delivery order to supply F110 aircraft turbine nozzles for the U.S. Air Force. Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support in Oklahoma City placed the one-time order under a five-year basic ordering agreement. Deliveries are scheduled to conclude by Oct. 31, 2029.
F110 Turbine Nozzle Order Details
GE will provide turbine nozzles for the F110 aircraft-engine family. The award notice identifies the purchase as an order for engine components, rather than complete engines or engine-repair services.
The order is part of DLA’s component purchasing for the F110, an engine family used in F-16 aircraft and some F-15 variants. Its October 2029 end date is the delivery-order deadline, not a schedule for production of complete engines.
F110 Program Background
The Air Force is also buying F110 engines through a separate foreign military sales contract. In March 2025, the Defense Department announced a contract with a ceiling of $5 billion for F110-GE-129 installation and spare engines, modernized engine-monitoring computers and spare accessories. That engine procurement and DLA’s nozzle order address different parts of the F110 supply chain; the announcement does not link the nozzle order to the foreign sales cases.
Award and Contractor Background
DLA made the nozzle award on a sole-source basis. The award listing says GE is the only known source able to meet the government’s requirements. DLA has also placed an approximately $2 million turbine-nozzle order with GE under the same basic ordering agreement, with a listed performance end date of September 2027.
GE’s broader DLA engine-parts work includes a $422.8 million contract awarded in June 2023 for supplies related to the F101, F110 and F118 engine families. Unlike the current order, that contract covers multiple engine families rather than a specified F110 nozzle purchase.
This award was disclosed by the DoW in its daily press release. Additional contract details will be available on HigherGov in approximately 90 days under SPRTA126F0543 after the contract is formally disclosed by the government.
