General Electric Wins $21 Million Air Force F110 Turbine Rotor Order

General Electric Co. has received an estimated $21 million firm-fixed-price delivery order to manufacture F110 aircraft turbine rotors for the Air Force. Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, placed the order under a five-year agreement for engine components. The three-year order is scheduled for completion by Dec. 31, 2029.

F110 Turbine Rotor Details

GE will manufacture Inconel turbine rotors that drive the engine fan. The solicitation schedule estimated a requirement for 26 rotors and listed a range of seven to 39. It called for serial-number marking and inspection and acceptance at the manufacturing source. The rotors are to be shipped to DLA Distribution Depot Oklahoma at Tinker Air Force Base.

The solicitation listed Oct. 1, 2026, as the requested delivery date for its estimated 26 units, while the subsequent award notice gives Dec. 31, 2029, as the order’s completion date. The procurement notice described the requirement as noncompetitive.

F110 Sustainment Background

The F110 engine family powers fighter aircraft including the F-16. At Tinker, the Air Force’s 76th Propulsion Maintenance Group handles F110 maintenance, repair and overhaul as part of its broader engine work, according to the service’s group fact sheet. The rotor order supplies components for Air Force use rather than complete engines.

Award and Contractor Background

The order falls under a basic ordering agreement that began in July 2024 and covers a range of F110 materials and components. Other orders under that agreement include a $6 million F110 turbine-rotor order with a potential performance end in April 2028 and a $6.7 million case-and-vane assembly order with a potential performance end in March 2029.

The rotor solicitation also identifies a purchase dated Sept. 5, 2024, under an earlier Pacer Phantom order. That broader order has a potential value of $171.8 million and a potential performance end in September 2026; its total value is not a price for the rotor item alone.

This award was disclosed by the DoW in its daily press release. Additional contract details will be available on HigherGov in approximately 90 days under SPRTA126F1525 after the contract is formally disclosed by the government.
