Fujifilm Sonosite Inc. of Bothell, Washington, has won a Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support contract to supply ultrasound systems, components and accessories to the armed services and federal civilian agencies. The firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award has a maximum potential value of $957.7 million, with ordering scheduled through Oct. 28, 2036. The Oct. 29, 2026, award is part of the third generation of the joint DLA–Department of Veterans Affairs Radiology and Imaging Systems program.

Radiology and Imaging Systems Contract Details

Sonosite will provide ultrasound equipment and related components and accessories as agencies place orders under the contract. The award notice identifies the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies as customers. It also says other suppliers are expected to receive contracts under the same solicitation and compete for a portion of the stated maximum value; that ceiling does not represent purchases already made from Sonosite.

The joint imaging program gives eligible agencies a means to order equipment for specific needs. Its broader scope covers imaging technologies beyond ultrasound, as well as related components, maintenance, training and incidental services. A solicitation for the program’s earlier generation described a multiple-award approach intended to bring federal imaging-equipment demand into a common contracting framework.

Award and Contractor Background

DLA Troop Support made the competitive award after receiving 25 responses. The earlier-generation program solicitation estimated approximately $650 million in annual sales across the joint imaging program, or $6.5 billion over 10 years. Those were program-wide projections, not a value assigned to Sonosite’s new ultrasound contract.

Sonosite has supplied ultrasound equipment through earlier federal orders. Examples include a $3.2 million order for Edge II veterinary configurations with a potential performance end in October 2024 and a $277,040 order for a Sonosite LX ultrasound system at the VA medical center in Asheville, North Carolina, with a potential performance end that same month. A separate $215,100 Sonosite LX order for the VA medical center in Muskogee, Oklahoma, had a potential performance end in December 2025.

This award was disclosed by the DoW in its daily press release. Additional contract details will be available on HigherGov in approximately 90 days under SPE2D127D0001 after the contract is formally disclosed by the government.
