Everforth ECS Wins $31 Million DARPA Multi X Office (MXO) Support Contract

Everforth ECS Federal LLC of Fairfax, Virginia, has won a $30.9 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide advisory services, systems engineering and technical assistance to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s Multi X Office (MXO). The company will supply technical, analytical and programmatic support for existing and planned office programs. Work will be performed in Arlington, Virginia, and is expected to be completed in October 2027.

Multi X Office Support Details

Everforth ECS will provide expertise across MXO’s research portfolio rather than support a single named project. The award calls for advisory and assistance services alongside systems engineering and technical assistance to help the office carry out its mission. The contract also covers analytical and programmatic work as MXO manages existing efforts and develops planned programs.

DARPA established MXO in May 2026 by expanding the former Microsystems Technology Office’s remit beyond microsystems to work combining disciplines including physics, chemistry, biology and materials science. DARPA describes scientific, engineering and technical assistance contractors as a source of expertise for government program managers in shaping research, assessing progress and supporting program execution. That model aligns with the range of support covered by Everforth ECS’s award.

Award and Contractor Background

DARPA received four offers in the competition. ECS previously said it was among six prime contractors selected for DARPA’s $1.25 billion Technical and Analytical Support Services vehicle in October 2023 and that its DARPA work included task orders supporting the former Microsystems Technology Office.

MXO has also made a separate operations-support award to Guidehouse. Its award notice describes a competition under the governmentwide OASIS+ contracting vehicle for support structured around the office’s evolving operational needs.
