The Defense Logistics Agency Contracting Services Office announced it has awarded a contract for the refresh and installation of an automated fuel handling system at Fleet Logistics Center, Yokosuka (Yokose), Japan, to ENGlobal Government Services. The task order is valued at $7.6 million over two years and six months. This firm-fixed-price task order was issued against a five-year multiple award IDIQ contract, with work to be performed in Japan.
Work to be Completed Under Automated Fuel System Installation Contract
The contract calls for the comprehensive refresh and installation of an automated fuel handling system at the Fleet Logistics Center in Yokosuka, Japan. The project is designed to modernize fuel management capabilities for multiple branches of the U.S. military, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.
This task order (SP4706-25-F-0052) is part of a broader Automated Fuel System Installation (AFSI) Multiple Award IDIQ Contract, which began on September 19, 2024, and runs through September 18, 2029. The overall IDIQ vehicle enables the Defense Logistics Agency to issue orders for similar fuel system upgrades at various locations as needed over the five-year period.
Under this specific task order, ENGlobal Government Services will be responsible for both upgrading existing infrastructure and installing new automated systems to improve fuel handling efficiency and security at the facility. The work will include integration with current base operations and compliance with military standards for fuel storage and distribution.
The contract was competitively awarded after four proposals were received.
ENGlobal’s work is expected to be completed by March 31, 2028. The improvements are anticipated to enhance operational readiness and logistical support for U.S. forces stationed in the region.
