Defense Unicorns Wins Up to $350 Million Army Open-Source Software Delivery Contract

Defense Unicorns Inc. of Colorado Springs, Colorado, won a firm-fixed-price contract with a potential value of up to $350 million to provide an open-source software-delivery platform for the Department of War, the Army enterprise and other national security environments. The U.S. Army Contracting Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground awarded the contract Sept. 24, 2026. Work locations will be set through individual orders, and the estimated completion date is Sept. 23, 2031.

Open-Source Software Delivery Platform Details

Defense Unicorns will provide a platform intended to improve how software is delivered across the Army enterprise and other defense and national security environments. The delivery challenge extends beyond conventional office networks.
