Computer World Services Corp. has won a federal contract with a ceiling of $33.8 million to provide operations support for the Department of the Air Force’s Headquarters Cyberspace Capabilities Center. The firm-fixed-price award covers technical, subject-matter expert and software support for telecommunications, network-management systems, mobile satellite services and long-haul communications. Work will be performed at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, with completion expected by June 30, 2034.
Air Force Telecommunications Operations Support Details
Computer World Services will support Department of the Air Force telecommunications and Defense Information Systems Network activities, including tasks for the center’s configuration management office. The Defense Information Systems Agency’s budget justification describes the network as an end-to-end communications infrastructure that integrates terrestrial, subsea, wireless and satellite transport.
The contract also calls for sustainment of the Telecommunications Certification Office Support System and the Telecommunications Circuit Allocation and Tracking System. A 2017 Air Force instruction describes the certification office system as supporting a Mobile Satellite Services database used by command and installation managers to maintain contacts and coordinate satellite-service assets.
Beyond those systems, Computer World Services will provide programming support for Defense Department Mobile Satellite Services and carry out Long Haul Communications mission tasks for the center. Together, the assigned work spans software sustainment, satellite-service coordination and support for the Air Force’s wider telecommunications infrastructure.
Award and Contractor Background
The Air Combat Command’s Acquisition Management and Integration Center made the award after a competitive acquisition that drew three offers. Computer World Services has other Air Force network-support work, including a Long Haul Communications support contract with a potential value of $16.9 million and a potential performance end date in December 2026. It also holds a $21.7 million Air Force Information Network operations award with a potential performance end date in April 2027. Those awards provide context for the company’s communications and network-support work.
This award was disclosed by the DoW in its daily press release. Additional contract details will be available on HigherGov in approximately 90 days under FA877327D0001 after the contract is formally disclosed by the government.
