Collins Aerospace of Marlborough, Massachusetts, has received a sole-source Air Force contract with a ceiling of $95 million to provide contractor logistics support for the Air Traffic Navigation, Integration, and Coordination System (ATNAVICS). The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center awarded the contract, with work to be performed at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, and Largo, Florida. Performance is expected to run through September 2036.
ATNAVICS Details
Collins will provide logistics support for ATNAVICS, a deployable air-traffic-control and ground-controlled-approach system designed for locations where fixed airfield infrastructure is unavailable or unsuitable. The system brings together aircraft surveillance, identification and precision-approach capabilities to help establish air-traffic services at temporary or austere airfields.
The award covers support work at Robins Air Force Base and Largo rather than a stated quantity of new systems. Its expected completion in September 2036 provides a long-term support framework for the equipment as the Air Force moves beyond its recent refurbishment effort.
ATNAVICS Program Background
In its FY2026 procurement budget justification, the Air Force said it would use the ATNAVICS name beginning in FY2026 following completion of the refurbishment of Army systems under the D-RAPCON modernization effort. The document describes D-RAPCON as a $74 million effort encompassing research, development and prototype procurement, and says ATNAVICS had moved into sustainment under a different budget line. The new logistics-support award follows that documented transition.
Award and Contractor Background
The Air Force obligated $2.5 million at award. The acquisition was sole-source. Related air-traffic-surveillance work appears in the supplied Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation awardee record, including a $12 million Hawaii surveillance-radar replacement prototype contract with a performance end in November 2025 and a $5.4 million order for four surveillance-radar systems with a performance end in November 2026.
This award was disclosed by the DoW in its daily press release. Additional contract details will be available on HigherGov in approximately 90 days under FA233026DB001 after the contract is formally disclosed by the government.
