Coakley & Williams Construction LLC of Bethesda, Maryland, has won a $57.8 million firm-fixed-price contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to build a rocket and missile maintenance facility warehouse and associated administrative support space in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. The Corps’ Baltimore District is overseeing the project, which is expected to be completed by April 27, 2029.
Rocket and Missile Maintenance Facility Details
Coakley & Williams will construct the warehouse and accompanying administrative space under the award. The government notice identifies these as the construction deliverables but does not give a building size or describe the warehouse’s internal equipment.
Chambersburg is home to Letterkenny Army Depot. Army military-construction budget materials describe missile-related work at Letterkenny as including receipt, storage, inspection, testing and repair. That mission provides context for the warehouse award, although the award notice does not assign particular missile systems or maintenance processes to the new building.
Award and Contractor Background
The Corps solicited bids online and received three. The full contract amount was obligated at award. Coakley & Williams Construction is the named awardee.
The Army is also investing in other missile facilities at Letterkenny. A November 2025 Army report said construction of a Joint Missile Maintenance Facility had reached the topping-out stage, with completion then scheduled for spring 2027. A separate Corps solicitation for a missile-munitions distribution facility and rail classification yard described a 57,955-square-foot warehouse and approximately 8,000 linear feet of rail siding. Those specifications belong to the distribution-and-rail project, not to Coakley & Williams’ maintenance-facility award.
This award was disclosed by the DoW in its daily press release. Additional contract details will be available on HigherGov in approximately 90 days under W912DR26CA026 after the contract is formally disclosed by the government.
