Chimes District of Columbia Inc. of Baltimore, Maryland, has received a $50.6 million firm-fixed-price Army contract for base operations support services at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania. The Army expects the work to be completed by Oct. 31, 2033. The award covers installation support at the post that houses the U.S. Army War College; the government’s award notice does not identify individual service tasks.

Carlisle Barracks Base Operations Support Details

Chimes will provide base operations support at Carlisle Barracks. The garrison’s mission statement describes responsibility for the infrastructure and services that sustain the installation’s educational mission and its soldiers, families and civilian community.

The installation includes academic facilities, housing and community-support facilities. The award notice identifies Carlisle Barracks as the place of performance but does not assign particular facilities or services to Chimes, so the contract’s work should not be confused with the Army’s separate Carlisle Barracks Job Order Contract solicitation for repair, renovation and minor construction.

Award and Contractor Background

The Army solicited one bid and received one for the Chimes award. The Army Field Directorate Office at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is the contracting activity.

Chimes also holds an Army base operations and support services contract with a potential value of $31.8 million and a potential performance end date of April 30, 2027. That award provides relevant experience in the same broad service category, although the supplied record does not establish it as the contract preceding the Carlisle Barracks award. Other federal awards to Chimes District of Columbia include custodial services contracts.

This award was disclosed by the DoW in its daily press release. Additional contract details will be available on HigherGov in approximately 90 days under W5168W27CA001 after the contract is formally disclosed by the government.
