The Naval Air Systems Command announced it has awarded a contract for the design, development, and fabrication of E-2D Advanced Hawkeye identification friend or foe (IFF) operational test program sets to BAE Systems, valued at $62.5 million over approximately six years. The contract includes both cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price elements, with work to be performed in Green Lawn, New York. This award was not competed.

Work to be Completed Under E-2D Advanced Hawkeye IFF Contract

Under the terms of the contract, BAE Systems will be responsible for the design, development, and fabrication of operational test program sets for the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye’s identification friend or foe (IFF) systems. This effort also includes the provision of specialized test equipment and repair equipment necessary for maintaining and supporting these critical systems.

The scope of work further encompasses the delivery of supporting logistical data, which will include a comprehensive technical drawing package and detailed repair procedures. These deliverables are intended to ensure that Navy personnel can effectively operate, maintain, and repair the IFF systems throughout their lifecycle.

Additionally, BAE Systems will deliver five units under test as part of this contract. These units will support ongoing Navy operations and testing requirements for the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye platform.

The place of performance for this contract is Green Lawn, New York. All work is expected to be completed by September 2030.

This award was issued by Naval Air Systems Command based in Lakehurst, New Jersey. The contracting activity did not compete this requirement, citing specific needs for specialized expertise and equipment related to the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye platform.
