The U.S. Army announced it awarded AM General an $82.2 million contract to procure High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles. The firm-fixed-price award was issued under an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, with work locations determined by individual orders.

Work to be Completed Under the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle Contract

Under the contract, AM General will provide High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles, commonly known as HMMWVs or Humvees, for the Army. The vehicles are tactical platforms used for personnel transport and other military missions.

The award has an estimated completion date of Aug. 31, 2028. Specific work locations, delivery requirements and funding will be established as orders are placed under the contract.

The action is valued at $82.2 million and brings the contract’s total cumulative face value to $754.6 million. The Army identified the award as contract W912CH-26-F-A172.

The procurement was awarded on Aug. 13, 2026.

Army Contracting Command at Detroit Arsenal, Michigan, is the contracting activity responsible for the award.
