ABS Digital Solutions Wins $24 Million Military Sealift Command Nautical Systems Support Contract

ABS Digital Solutions LLC of Spring, Texas, has received a firm-fixed-price contract from Military Sealift Command to support its ABS Wavesight Nautical Systems. The award is worth up to $23.7 million, with work to be performed worldwide and an expected completion date of March 31, 2032. MSC awarded the contract through a sole-source acquisition.

ABS Wavesight Nautical Systems Details

ABS Digital Solutions will provide support for the Nautical Systems used by MSC. The award concerns an existing software requirement: in 2025, the command sought a renewal of ABS Nautical Systems software support. The current award notice identifies worldwide performance but does not describe particular software changes or shipboard installations.

The support is distinct from operating MSC ships or inspecting them for compliance with vessel-classification standards. It instead covers MSC’s ABS Wavesight Nautical Systems across the command’s worldwide operations.

Award and Contractor Background

MSC sought a sole-source renewal of ABS Nautical Systems software in 2025, with support running through April 30, 2026. The new award was also made without competition. MSC is obligating $3.5 million at award.

ABS Digital Solutions is also associated with a separate MSC regulatory-services contract with a potential value of $98.4 million and a potential performance end date in March 2027. That work covers ship surveys, audits, plan reviews and related engineering services for MSC vessels, rather than Nautical Systems software support.
