4K Global-ACC MP Awarded $9.6 Million Army Corps Contract for Fort Bragg Arms Room

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District, has awarded a $9.6 million firm-fixed-price contract for arms room construction to 4K Global-ACC MP of Martinez, Georgia. The contract covers work at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and is set aside for small businesses.

The contract, titled PN 90610 SOF Arms Room Addition, involves both the renovation of an existing arms room and the construction of a new loading bay at Fort Bragg’s SOTF main administrative building (Building 0190M). The project requires all labor, materials, equipment, incidentals, supervision, and transportation necessary to complete the work.

Key elements of the project include:

• New construction of a loading bay and renovation of the arms room
• Installation of fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems with connection to Energy Monitoring Control Systems (EMCS)
• Building information systems, Intrusion Detection System (IDS), and Mass Notification System
• Hazardous materials abatement and swing space move
• Sustainable Design and Development (SDD) features and compliance with the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct05)

Supporting facilities will include site development, utilities connections (electrical service, water, sewer, gas), main power supply upgrades, lighting, paving, storm drainage systems, landscaping, signage, and information systems. Measures in accordance with Department of Defense Minimum Antiterrorism for Buildings standards are also required.

The facility will be designed for a minimum life span of 40 years in accordance with DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC 1-200-02), integrating energy efficiencies and building systems performance. Heating and air conditioning will be provided by self-contained systems. Additional requirements include comprehensive interior design services, accessibility for individuals with disabilities, and incorporation of cybersecurity measures.
