Trident E&P LLC of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, has received a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to lease A3 multifunctional devices, accessories and other office document equipment for Defense Logistics Agency customers throughout South Korea. The contract covers a five-year period ending Nov. 2, 2031. The government award notice lists a $26.2 million value; the solicitation identifies that amount as the shared ceiling for the three contracts awarded under the procurement, rather than an amount reserved for Trident alone.
Republic of Korea Office-Device Lease Details
Trident will provide leased devices under orders placed against its contract. DLA estimated a requirement for 2,523 devices across the procurement, with orders serving locations throughout South Korea. The equipment includes monochrome and color machines for different printing volumes and for both unclassified and classified network environments. Under the performance work statement, devices must support two-sided copying, printing and scanning, as well as document finishing and compatibility with specified Windows and Mac operating systems.
The lease also covers delivery and installation, end-user training, maintenance and consumable supplies other than paper. Trident will support device relocations, technical refreshes, reporting and removal. DLA calls for at least 90% operational availability, measured weekly, making continued service part of the requirement rather than a separate equipment purchase.
Network security is a significant part of the work. The devices must support encrypted storage and secure scanning, with authentication controls for releasing print jobs. Equipment designated for classified use must have externally removable, lockable drives. DLA also requires network testing before the devices are approved for use.
Award and Contractor Background
DLA received six responses to the competition and made three awards to vendors selected on a lowest-priced, technically acceptable basis, according to the award notice. The other awardees were HP Rental and Global Company Alliance. Each contract carries a $10,000 guaranteed minimum, while all three draw from the same $26.2 million program ceiling.
Trident has received other DLA office-device lease awards overseas. A Germany contract has a potential value of $9.8 million and covers up to 982 multifunctional devices, with performance potentially running through August 2028. A Japan contract has a potential value of $5.7 million for up to 686 devices, with performance potentially running through November 2027. Both involve leased equipment and related services of the kind required under the Korea procurement.
This award was disclosed by the DoW in its daily press release. Additional contract details will be available on HigherGov in approximately 90 days under SP700027D0004 after the contract is formally disclosed by the government.
