Program Title
WQF - Water Quality Framework
Description
OW's Water Quality Framework is a cornerstone for the Office of Water's strategy to integrate data across OW and to make information available to EPA, state, and tribal water managers as well as public. The Framework contains information on water quality monitoring, state and tribal water quality assessments, plans for restoring and protecting water, and information related to EPA's progress in achieving strategic plan and budget goals surrounding water quality restoration and protection. To facilitate this integration, the Framework also contains connections to the underlying stream network that facilitates cross-program analyses. Lastly, in order to provide meaningful information to the public, the Framework connects all this information together to provide and easy-to-understanding communication tool which allows the public to explore water quality in their communities as well as understand the context of that water quality within their state or water quality nationwide.
