The IT Security and Risk Management program combines the two investments, Security and FICAM, and addresses the Risk Management Framework approach to securing USNCB's IT assets, data, and networks. As the IT Security Program is being assessed and updated to reflect modern and emerging cybersecurity threats, Zero Trust architecture, Risk Management Framework, and NIST guidance are more important now than ever before to protect our Nation's valuable assets. It also serves to bridge the gap between the DOJ's JSOC and Security programs, but adding a more detailed level of assessment and monitoring with the use of new tools and capabilities, as well as updating the policies to reflect modern-day Executive Orders and best practices. Access to INTERPOL systems is predicated on a sound security model that supports highly available systems, data integrity, and preserving the privacy and confidentiality of data.
