The Sea Commander (SC) system integrates information from the National Security Cutter (NSC) sensors, intelligence collection, the common operational picture, and the common data link into a single real-time operational picture. This program will acquire and integrate the SC command and control suite for NSCs 9, 10 & 11. Although SC is currently installed and operational on all delivered NSCs (hulls 1-8), back-fit is not within the scope of this investment. The SC System on the NSC includes sensors, a computer and network infrastructure (CNI), and systems for communication, navigation, weapons and self-defense including the capability to deploy embarked assets, as well as the ability to interoperate with over-the-horizon (OTH) shore-based commands. SC and the NSC s classified network supports C2 applications, which include track management, sensor interfaces, and Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) enabling secure chat, data recording, playback, archives, and storage.
