Description
The Commercial Voice and Data Link investment includes satellite telephone systems currently fielded at every operational unit in the U.S. Coast Guard, to include surface assets, aerial assets, and shore units (AREAs and Districts); totaling over 2,500 users. The program s key systems include two versions of Iridium Secure Voice telephones (9505 & 9575) and a Satellite Availability service (SA2). Given satellite dependability, Iridium secure voice phones enable operators to make secure transmissions from anywhere around the globe.
