The Command, Control (C2) & Navigation Program consists of more than 50 systems. These systems collect, fuse and disseminate actionable mission critical intelligence along with timely relevant situational awareness information to enable operational commanders to execute critical Coast Guard missions. All these systems have met overall performance requirements and improved operational capabilities through increased situational awareness, better communication within the Coast Guard and with its partners, and enhanced sensor capabilities. Navigation is comprised of scalable, data collecting software applications [i.e. electronic charting systems, navigation sensors, navigation radars, aids to navigation (ATONs)] that facilitate convergence of navigation systems on a single, user familiar interface across all large and small platforms on approximately 1,500 boats and 150 cutters.
