Overview
Program Title
SIMPLIFIED WORKFLOW ACCESS PROTOCOL
Description
Simplified Workflow Access Protocol (SWAP) is a web-based, workflow application used by SWAP and the DFAS applications, System Authorization Access Request (SAAR) form processing. SWAP is Common Access Card (CAC) enabled and requires that all users possess a DOD CAC card to use the application. The workflow aspect of the application provides a seamless routing pattern throughout the approval process customized to the requirements of each system it services. The SWAP workflow process tracks a forms status throughout the approval process, and provides a permanent record of submissions and actions in a nonvolatile archive. Applications serviced by SWAP include ADMIN - Access Administrator for the SWAP application, GTSWeb - Government Transportation System Financial Data, STARS - Standard Accounting & Reporting System, and WYPC - Work Year Personnel Cost. SWAP also includes the legacy MZD Web Site (Intranet site) in its accreditation boundary. This intranet site contains SWAP system architecture information, audit logs of user activity, and ECForms processing/reporting. The MZD intranet site is Common Access Card (CAC) enabled and requires that all authorized users possess a DOD CAC card to use the site. Like the web-based SWAP site, the MZD Intranet site is available to all of the DOD. The SWAP administrators, One Pay, Elimination of Unmatched Disbursements (EUD) and STARS utilize this site for ECForm processing and reporting. The ECForm process creates scripts used in provisioning access to the STARS, One Pay, EUD and CA Webviewer systems.
