Description
The CIMS project has roots in 2016-ish. But the first module to be completed, ePermit, was published in May 2019. It manages complex bond calculations, and tracks inspections. Mine operators are able to plan multiple phases of future operations without interfering with their current permit in a way that would be impossible with the traditional file-based processes.

Investment Detail
The purpose of E-Permitting is to create a system of electronic permits to reduce the hardcopy files. The reduction of hardcopy files will reduce costs for storing files within OSMRE. No known external benefits have been identified at this time.
