Description
The Docket Management System (DMS) was developed to improve the Office of Hearings and Appeal's (OHA's) efficiency and effectiveness in tracking and reporting thousands of administrative cases that are filed or processed annually in OHA. This system supports the adjudication of decisions and orders related to legal cases within the Department of the Interior. OHA has been managing this investment since 2008.

Investment Detail

The Office of Hearings and Appeals (OHA) was created in 1970 to gather into one organization the various administrative adjudicatory functions of the Department of the Interior. To support its strategic goals and initiatives, OHA is pursuing a new Docket Management System and E-filing System (DMS) with advanced indexing and search capabilities that would improve overall case management, allow monitoring of the progress made on each case, create an interface for public and privileged access to documentation, and facilitate workload analysis and reporting.
