NRE-FS-Enterprise Network Standard Investment (EN) is an infrastructure investment that directly supports USDA Strategic Goal 1 by ensuring USDA programs are delivered efficiently, effectively, with integrity and a focus on customer service. EN provides a stable and secure network that empowers employees to effectively perform their mission by enabling the connectivity to critical services such as geospatial applications and tools, cloud services, budget/resource planning and document sharing sites. EN further supports core business activities across NRE. The delivery of secure VPN which supports remote access to Agency resources when employees are not at a Forest Service facility. EN provides analysis and recommendations for circuit capacity and provides assist on identifying efficiencies to enhance business and infrastructure application performance. EUS enables NRE to increase operational efficiency and to reduce security, business and infrastructure risk and deliver efficiencies, support for strengthening security, and set up CIO investment for ongoing IT Modernization.
