The Interim Servicing Solution ISS was to provide the interim loan servicing servicing environment, that will allow FSA to ensure continued servicing beyond the expiration of the current pre-default servicer contracts. As well as integration with the NG BPO vendors, and enhanced cybersecurity in the loan servicing processing systems. The ISS uses a phased implementation approach, where capabilities will be enabled gradually as each component is developed. In its first phase, ISS will provide the full suite of current capabilities associated with student aid and servicing in the FSA environment, including a transitional digital engagement layer, an image, print, and email solution, and a transitional customer relational management (CRM)and and workflow solution. The investment will transition customer engagement capabilities as new solutions, e.g Next Gen digital platform, the Digital and Customer Care CRM,etc, are fully implemented.
