Description
The Next Gen EDMAPS investment is a component and investment within Next Gen FSA. It complements and utilizes FSA's current Enterprise Data Warehouse Analytics (EDWA). EDWA will become the data warehouse of this investment. The Next Gen EDMAPS investment supports the implementation of a common integrated data management platform. IT supports compliance with Federal Tax Information (FTI), Pell grants, other grants and student application data requirements.

Qualitative benefits for the EDMAPS investment include the development of the following 4 capabilities:
1. Target state data architecture and standards: Solution will determine a master data management and governance architecture that allows for a unified record of a customer s loan history and partner data across all Next Gen components and FSA systems.
2. An implemented data management infrastructure: Solution will provide a data management infrastructure for FSA that houses and integrates data from key Next Gen and other FSA systems into a unified, consistent view of customer profiles, loan history, loan servicing, delinquency management, and partner operations.
3. Data management transformation services: Once the future state data architecture and standards are defined, the solution will support FSA in making changes to systems over a defined roadmap.
4. Analytics platform and support: Solution will provide a suite of integrated and advanced analytical tools e.g., self-service reporting, predictive/cognitive analysis, visualization.
