The Knowledge Management Team began providing limited on site development services as well. These services gave us a higher level of capability to do lower level developing which meant that the PO did not have to use the BPA in all cases to have development work done on SharePoint. This effort now augments the O&M contracts throughout the Department which saves the Principal Offices hours on their contracts to be used for larger issues. The KM Team has demonstrated a 1.6 million dollar cost avoidance, per year, from the addition of a single on-site developer portion of this investment. Additionally, by bringing the training to the Department we have achieved a cost avoidance of $1.65K. This level of cost avoidance is expected to continue.
