Overview

Program Title
JMD Unified Financial Management System (UFMS)
Description
The Department of Justice (DOJ) implemented the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS) to improve financial management and procurement operations. UFMS delivers an integrated, secure solution to replace the legacy financial systems for DEA, ATF, USMS, FBI, BOP, OBDs, and OJP using a Commercial-Off-The-Self (COTS) product. The UFMS allows the DOJ to streamline and standardize business processes and procedures across Components, providing accurate, timely, and useful financial data to financial and Program managers, and produce financial statements. The system improves financial management performance and aids Components in addressing material weaknesses and non-conformances in internal controls, accounting standards, and systems security. It provides procurement functionality to streamline business processes and Enterprise Asset Management to replace legacy property management systems. Current goals include yearly upgrade of UFMS to remain current.
