Description
Inspector General Case Action Manager (IGCAM) is composed of two separate cloud-based software applications: (1) Hotline Complaint App (public) and (2) IGCAM App (protected/NIPR). The Hotline Compliant App is a public-facing, non-protected application portal that accepts complaints from the public, allows them to submit files, and feeds the information into IGCAM. The IGCAM App is protected by the secure platform accessible only on a secure network. Case information is accessible through dashboards, a robust search functionality, and basic reporting. Cases in IGCAM are managed via a single case management screen that includes sections for a case summary, complaint analysis, case log (notes), correspondence, supporting files, agency information, and routing information. It is the single repository for case information. Records management dashboards allow users to purge cases which have been closed for ten (10) years, or mark cases as historically significant for retention purposes. Administration features allow an admin to create new users, edit existing users, review logs of changes to cases, administer correspondence templates, reassign cases, or purge historical archives. A dedicated training and references repository within IGCAM provides an information sharing platform whereby users may share subject matter guidance, policy information, and download or upload files across the Command Inspector General (CIG) network. System logs are used to understand changes made to a case: when a case is created (dates/timestamps), changes within a case, or which users made the change. These logs may be used to support audit trails. IGCAM provides automated e-mail notifications and correspondence generation for users and complainants when a case is opened or closed. Complainants are notified of appropriate case information, assigned case personnel, and provided contact information.
