FBIS is HHS's enterprise-wide financial business intelligence application for managerial reporting, supporting strategic and operational reporting requirements. FBIS offers business intelligence and analytics to support decision-making and financial information needs of stakeholders at multiple levels across HHS. FBIS is a web-based application built on the OBIEE COTS platform and is designed to improve HHS's ability to measure performance, increase transparency, and enhance decision-making. First deployed in 2012, FBIS has been incrementally expanded, adding capabilities and increasing to over 1,500 users while also enabling retirement of legacy reporting solutions. FBIS continues to progress on its roadmap to provide cutting-edge business intelligence and analytics. Current/future initiatives include projects to incrementally expand FBIS to include new domains (and retire additional legacy systems) and enhancements to improve functionality and analytic capabilities.
