FSI has rapidly transitioned many classes to online learning, requiring DLD to train instructors in online teaching and create digital resources to support training, a trend that is expected to continue and grow. DLD is centrally involved in migrating 200+ individual instructor-led courses over to the FSiLearn Learning Management System, thereby increasing the need for contractor staff to support the mission of the FSI front office for the initiative. DLD s expanded portfolio includes staffing for digital learning development, training support for schools and staff in tools, approaches, and technologies, modernizing the Digital Learning Lab's to cloud-based technology, updating the SLS Distance Language Learning program's offerings, supporting the hybrid 'Future of FSI Training' initiative, and the continued modernization of Information Center services.
