The applications supported under the MGT investment enable the NRCS to respond to the agency's requirements regarding finance, fleet management and workforce needs and gaps. MGT provides core business components which support many essential agency business operational functions of NRCS.
The Qualitative benefits include:
o Focuses on business needs, rather than technical solutions
o Reduces IT environmental complexity through cloud platforms
o Improve Public understanding of NRCS programs
o Improve end of quarter reviews of financial data
o Enable managers to address gaps in the workforce to satisfy the workload demands
o Better tracking of the source database for funds, programs, state & local reimbursements, and congressional earmark programs
