Investment Detail
The qualitative return on investment for PFS financial applications include consistently and effectively providing functionality to support the processing and tracking of farm program, foreign program and farm loan program payments, debt establishment and collection, funds control (including obligation establishment and liquidation), general ledger accounting and financial reporting. These applications also provide FSA service centers and customers with the ability to establish direct deposit accounts, assignments and joint payments for producers and vendors receiving farm loan and farm program payments, and have provided detailed disbursement statements, debt notification letters and direct deposit change notifications to FSA customers in an accurate and timely manner.
The production support services and software maintenance/enhancements funded by this investment benefit FSA users at the county, state and national level by continually improving processing speeds, increasing system availability, and providing additional user-requested functionality/reporting to increase user productivity in the field and enhance FSA customer satisfaction.
The quantitative return on investment includes progress towards and measurable results in improved year-over-year performance of the applications within the investment evidenced by improved results of the annual Business Application Survey, on-time farm program and/or farm loan program payments, and maintaining budget and schedule adherence to planned values.
