Description
Major U.S. telecommunications carriers are transitioning from TDM-based to Internet Protocol (IP)-based services possibly as early as 2020. As these carriers phase-out TDM-based infrastructure, the potential impacts to the FAA are significant as the majority of NAS services are currently dependent upon TDM-based services.
This program oversees the investment portfolio for TDM-to-IP Migration and Remote Telecommunications Infrastructure Replacement (RTIR) activities.
