SOAR is an automated aircraft management system that provides the information necessary to ensure the DOI aircraft fleet is maintained in compliance with FAA standards. The primary purpose of SOAR is to track maintenance schedules of both aircraft and time or cycle-limited parts on those aircraft. The system tracks parts inventory and provides Parts Room asset management. Foremost program supported by this investment is the OAS-Maintenance & support of DOI aircraft programs for Bureaus. In 2020 a new SOAR system was implemented, thus a system initiation date of 2020.
