This is the second generation of ICMS to provide Department-wide consistency in accounting for, reporting on, and providing access to Interior museum collections for use in delivery of bureau mission and compliance activities to the American public. IMCMS addresses multiple functions including documentation, preservation, and use of collections within a single, cloud-based system offering appropriate levels of access to internal and external users on what museum collections the Department manages and where they are located. Office of Acquisition and Property Management has been managing this investment since its initiation in 2016.
