Description
The Homeland Security Data Network (HSDN) Investment is a classified wide area network for DHS and its partners, specifically other organizations outside of DHS such as the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), and the National Security Administration(NSA), by providing effective interconnections to the intelligence community and federal law enforcement resources. Additionally, the HSDN is the only classified wide area network within DHS that collects, disseminates, and exchanges both tactical and strategic intelligence and other homeland security information up to the secret classification level. The value to the public is recognized via HSDN S unique capability to provide a secure and reliable infrastructure for exchanging timely and actionable classified information for Intelligence, Counter Terrorism, Counter Narcotics, Immigration Enforcement, Infrastructure Protection, and Emergency Preparedness and Response missions among federal, state, and local governments.
