Description
The Chief Technology Officer Directorate leads technical innovation initiatives, guides programs on federal governance, and serves as a resource to DHS Headquarters and Components to support the delivery of capability to the mission space. This investment delivers capability to provide reviews, governance, and program oversight to maintain CIO equities throughout the IT Acquisition Lifecycle. Improve DHS capability alignment, optimize IT services and unify portfolios though EA activities. Provide mission and customer-driven guidance and reference implementations to drive adoption of secure, modern architectures to reduce risk, rationalize investments, and optimize business processes. Operate and improve an EA repository that connects business and technology datasets allowing IT management data to be visualized and accessible to the Department. Measure and minimize program risk through outreach and support; continuously improve DHS Systems Engineering Lifecycle best practices.
