Afghan Mission Network (AMN) Coalition Interoperability Assurance and Validation (CIAV) provides compliance with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff 6212.01 which requires that each service provide funding for the assessment of Information Technology interoperability with our coalition partners, to the Department of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). DISA orchestrates all interoperability activities with NATO and our coalition partners. Path will result in ensured interoperability for both the U.S. and Coalition Warfighters in the Afghanistan Area of Operations. The concept of joining national mission secret networks at the network layer, without high assurance guards, is a true paradigm shift in the way we share information and prosecute war with our Coalition partners.
