The ISC Compliance Program includes Information Technology which is a centralized, secure web-based database containing ISC compliance policy data from HQ, and facilities, submitted by ISC representatives on behalf of their federal organization. While much progress has been made in meeting EO 12977 s goals, one high priority task remained monitoring compliance with ISC standards. This gap was underscored during congressional hearings on the Navy Yard where IP Asst. Secretary testified to the effectiveness of the ISC standards, but lack of compliance implementation. To provide overall compliance status and oversight, the Department has a mission need for a capability to collect, analyze, report and improve outreach for each agency s compliance with ISC standards. With the ISC-CS, the ISC has the technical capability for monitoring agencies compliance with standards and policies that enhance the physical and cyber security posture of the government.
