Overview

Program Title
CBP - Mobile Surveillance Capabilities (MSC)
Description
The Mobile Surveillance Capability (MSC) is an integrated suite of sensor equipment attached to the flat skid cargo bed of a Government-furnished Ford F-450 truck, with an operator workstation located inside the truck cabin. The purpose of the MSC is to provide mobile area surveillance in remote rural areas over an extended coverage range. This allows Customs and Border Protection to reposition MSC units in response to fluctuations in illegal traffic patterns, effectively managing and securing the National s borders. MSC capabilities provide value to the public thru detection, identification and tracking of suspicious entities, contributing to the prevention of illegal entry of people, weapons, drugs, contraband, and dangerous goods, and protecting against cross-border threats to health, food, environment, and agriculture, while facilitating the safe flow of lawful travel and commerce. MSC supports Line of Business (LOB) 01: Securing America s Borders.
