Description
The Linear Ground Detection System (LGDS) investment is a technology solution that will improve upon current in-ground detection (i.e., Unattended Ground Sensors) and identification capabilities that are scalable and deployable across all environments, near and apart from, manmade and natural border barriers. The LGDS investment will fill current gaps in the surveillance capability and capacity of detection and identification that drive a need to provide an increased level of situational awareness of Items of Interest illegally entering the United States. This investment supports the Securing America s Border Program.
