Customs and Border Protection (CBP) [DHS]

CAMITS is a logistics system utilized to track maintenance-related information for vessels for CBP, US Coast Guard, and other federal, state, and local agencies. It is utilized primarily by maintenance personnel to write repair orders, plan maintenance, order and track parts, manage warranties, track operational readiness, schedule maintenance, and manage similar aspects of the CBP AMO National Vessel Maintenance Program. CAMITS supports the Integrated Operations program. CAMITS saves taxpayer funds by giving management information to efficiently manage the fleet, and CAMITS itself is a small, simple, and efficient program. CAMITS supports DHS's QHSR objective to maintain and sustain equipment and capabilities by providing asset readiness visibility to CBP's Office of Air and Marine decision makers. The customers/stakeholders/beneficiaries are the Marine mechanics, technicians, AMO management, and support personnel.
