The Autonomous Surveillance Towers (AST) uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced analytics to autonomously detect, identify, and track Items of Interest (IoI) within a given field of view. The system is composed of re-locatable 33-foot towers equipped with radar, day and night cameras, and onboard AI that autonomously alerts operators of potential illicit activity via a web-based user interface and mobile application. Agents do not need to watch screens for IoIs; the system will produce audible and visual alerts upon identification. The system operates with 100% renewable/off grid power, and uses multi-modal communications (ex. Mobile Ad Hoc Network [MANET]) and commercial cellular to ensure functionality in austere environments. The benefits gained are improved agent safety, increased situational awareness and persistent surveillance capabilities, all of which provide value to the public.
